We serve the hyperscale data center corridor concentrated along the Central Texas I-35 and Texas 130 corridors — Austin, San Marcos, Temple, and Taylor — and mission-critical facilities nationwide. This region has absorbed a significant share of national data center investment over the past several years, driven by power availability, land cost, and infrastructure. The commissioning workload here is real, current, and technically demanding.
What We Stand For
The Independence Problem
The most common commissioning failure mode isn't technical incompetence — it's structural conflict of interest. When the commissioning agent is employed by the GC, their incentive is schedule completion, not deficiency documentation. When they're a division of a major equipment manufacturer, their incentive is favorable test results for their product line. We are independent. We are retained by the owner. Our interest is aligned with the owner's interest: prove the facility works, document what doesn't, and don't accept it until it does.
Test scripts written for your sequence, not a template
Every FPT script and IST scenario is written against your sequence of operations and your Owner's Project Requirements. We don't reuse scripts from previous projects. If your chiller staging sequence has a specific load shed interlock tied to your generator paralleling logic, the test script tests that interlock.
We're in the field
Commissioning firms that send a senior engineer to the kick-off meeting and a junior staff person to the field aren't commissioning your facility — they're staffing it. Our field leadership is in the building during FPTs and IST. We know what the sequence is supposed to do because we wrote the test script. We see what actually happens.
We tell you what we find
If a deficiency is significant, you hear about it when we find it — not in a report three weeks later. If a test scenario reveals a design condition that the engineer of record needs to see, we communicate it to all parties and document the communication. Withholding uncomfortable information to preserve a relationship is not something we do.

We are based in Bastrop County, Texas — inside the geographic center of one of the most active data center development markets in the United States. We are on-site quickly for Central Texas projects, and we staff national engagements from our field leadership without outsourcing the technical scope.
The facilities being built in this corridor right now are technically demanding: high-density liquid cooling deployments, complex paralleled generator plants, and sophisticated BAS/EPMS configurations. We are built for this work.
How We're Different
No Construction Dual-Role
Ethyco does not design, build, or install. We commission. The moment a Cx authority takes on construction management or design services, the independence is gone. We don't go there.
Small Enough to Be Present
We don't staff projects with junior technicians supervised by a senior engineer who shows up for milestones. The experienced Cx engineer is the one in the building during FPTs and IST.
Structured, Reproducible Process
The L1–L5 framework isn't optional. Every project gets the full commissioning process — not an abbreviated scope sold as "appropriate for this project size." The process is what makes commissioning valuable.
